a totally lovely surprise

i had a totally over-indulgent dinner with two of my favorite girlies tonight (think: burrata, sopressata, parmigiano reggiano, mac ‘n cheese, thin crust pizza, salted chocolate and caramel tart…oh my). that was enough to be totally fab.

but then, leah surprised me with one of the cutest gifts ever! you all know paris vs. ny?

well now i have my own coffee table version! i want to pull out every page and post it on my wall…and apparently i’m not the only one, as they’ve started to sell prints.

my two faves:

(here) & (here)

(have you ever tried to hail a cab in paris? don’t even…!)

thank you thank you my dear! i absolutely love it xxoo

this view never gets old…
and as much as i want my feet planted in london for more than two days at a time, somehow paris makes it okay.
i’m a lucky gal.

Amy Thomas, who wrote this article below, is actually an old colleague of mine at Ogilvy NY. i remember how jealous i was when she got the transfer to Paris - and of course how excited she was to make her dream come true.  who knew that less than a year later we’d be crossing paths when i moved to london and started working in paris regularly.  things have a funny way of working themselves out.
her story is amazing.  i hope i can capture my europe experience so beautifully one of these days!

In love with this, and Paris.

happy sunset saturday - the “i’m losing hope that the sun will ever come out in london (raining again), maybe i should move to paris” edition.
yes, that sounds nice.

you sure could feel christmas in paris, but nothing helps me get in the holiday spirit more than being at home.  currently relishing in long nights of sleep, home cooked meals and catching up with old friends.
merry christmas, indeed!
